Opening and running the café and shop at Wiveton Hall for the last 17 years has been a great pleasure but sadly I have decided to put the closed sign up and take a back seat.

It is such a lovely place and I enjoy sharing it with so many visitors. People love coming to the café with its wonderful view over the marsh and out to sea. It has fed my social promiscuity and I have enjoyed meeting lots of interesting people. I have very good memories of when it started with Alison Yetman who was later joined by Ben Pert and James Fitzpatrick, their delicious food satisfied lots of happy customers.

There will be our usual trebuchet pumpkin throwing on the 26th and 27th October. The café closes on Sunday 3rd November. There will still be activity here. Our holiday cottages and West Wing remain available throughout the year and weddings and events will continue.

I would like to thank all our loyal customers and hardworking staff who helped me make it possible.

Situated on the Norfolk coast between Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea, Wiveton Hall is a dreamy, flint-faced, Jacobean manor house built in the 17th century.

Unique holiday accommodation is available year round in the West Wing of the Hall, Chloe’s Cottage and our pretty cottages some of which look out over Cley Windmill and its surrounding marshland.

“Amazing, unexpected and unforgettable.”
